This picturesque gravel cycle path is a flat, easy way to explore the Western Yar valley as it cuts through the western tip of the island from Freshwater Bay to Yarmouth, following the River Yar. It's a great introduction to cycling for the family, with refreshment options at each end and plenty to see along the way. If you're up for a challenge, you can continue on along the Tennyson Trail to take you up over Mottistone Downs and on to Newport. You can hire a bike just along the path past the Yarmouth Mill at the old railway station.
